  1. Delightful article! I use to play the flute and was very good at it, however, stopped when I decided to take up composing at the age of 18! You be surprised what BIG MAJOR symphony orchestra played one of my works conducted by one of the biggest conductors of any time. Hint: Charles Munch specifically chose this person to be his successor of the Boston Symphony Orchestra after stepping down in 1962. However, that position went to Erich Leinsdorf (too much to go into politically)

  2. This was a really great story! Awesome way to wake up on a Monday morning. PS – This man is creating and sharing true music, not sure what I heard on the Grammys last night, but I guess I’m showing my age! Thx for such a positive story.

  3. Can we go hear Lance Martin play live somewhere? My 9 year old son opted to play flute via his school and I’d like him to get some exposure to an expert playing flute.
