Baritone Sanford Sylvan, the Boston University Symphony Orchestra, and the men of the BU Symphonic Chorus perform the "Humor" movement of Shostakovich’s Symphony XIII, Babi Yar, last week. The Symphony Hall concert also featured the Beethoven C-minor Piano Concerto, with soloist Anthony di Bonaventura, and a preconcert lecture by Yevgeny Yevtushenko, whose poetry provides the symphony’s text.
