BU bestowed its Alumni Award upon eight alums at the University’s annual Alumni Awards Breakfast on Saturday, October 16. Among those receiving the award are (standing, from left) Edward J. Zander (GSM’75), a pioneer of dot-com marketing while at Sun Microsystems and presently chairman and CEO of Motorola, and Hugo Shong (COM’87, GRS’92), senior vice president of International Data Group and president of IDG Asia; (seated, from left) Leon E. Wilson (MET’75), founder of First Community Bank and retired executive vice president and managing director of Fleet’s Charitable Asset Division, BU Trustee Richard DeWolfe (MET’71,’73), former chairman and CEO and now managing partner of the real estate management and investment firm DeWolfe and Company, Jackie Jenkins-Scott (SSW’73), a community leader and Wheelock College president, and Sarkis J. Kechejian (MED’63), who began his four-decade medical career at the School of Medicine and is now president and treasurer of Alliance Health. Not pictured is Morton H.
