Workplace Culture: Innovation to Action Speaker Series – ChatGPT and HR: The Next Workplace Frontier

On Wednesday, October 25, 2023, Boston University's Office of Human Resources and the Office of the [...]Senior Diversity Officer hosted another installment of their Workplace Culture: Innovation to Action Speaker Series. This fall session raised awareness and shared successful techniques to help staff supervisors navigate HR strategy and administration in the new era of ChatGPT. The event started with opening remarks from Amanda Bailey, Boston University's Vice President for Human Resources, followed by a keynote presentation from Johnny C. Taylor, Jr., President and Chief Executive Officer of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM).

Panelists included Wendy Colby, Vice President and Associate Provost for BU Virtual, Boston University; Krista Sande-Kerback, Marketing Leader for AI Governance & Governance, Risk, and Compliance, IBM; and Johnny C. Taylor, Jr., President and CEO of SHRM. The panel discussion was moderated by Azer Bestavros, Associate Provost for The Faculty of Computing and Data Sciences, William Fairfield Warren Distinguished Professor of Computer Science and Founding Director of the Hariri Institute for Computing, Boston University, and Andrea L. Taylor, Boston University's Senior Diversity Officer, made closing remarks.
