Wednesday, June 21, 2017 (7AM – 4:15PM)

Poster Session & Reception (4:30PM – 6:00PM)

Location: Boston Convention & Exhibition Center

“The move to bundling and other value-based systems requires physical therapists to be savvy when it comes to analyzing what they’re doing and at what cost, requiring measurement beyond a service-level mentality.” – Justin Moore, PT, DPT, CEO, APTA

Building on the success of CoHSTAR’s 2016 Summer Institute, we are preparing for the 2nd Summer Institute on Health Services Research. The Summer Institute will be offered as a preconference workshop in collaboration with the 2017 NEXT Conference & Exposition, and will take place on June 21, 2017 followed by an evening reception with poster presentations. Join us in Boston this summer for CoHSTAR’s Summer Institute on Health Services Research and the NEXT Conference and Exposition!

Deadline to Register was June 16th, 2017

Physical therapists must be proactive and informed to address the shift from fee-for-service to bundled payments and other models that emphasize value and outcomes. Lessons learned from the joint replacement bundled payment initiative can inform physical therapy practice as integrated care models are developed and implemented.

Audience: CoHSTAR’s 2017 Summer Institute brings together strategic partners, key stakeholders and observers.

  • Strategic Partners: individuals involved in developing and implementing bundled payments for total joint replacement will share their experiences and lessons learned
  • Key Stakeholders: APTA, payers, government representatives and rehabilitation industry leaders will engage in discussion of the development and implementation bundled payment from their unique perspectives
  • Observers: HSR researchers, CoHSTAR trainees, physical therapy administrators and faculty will have opportunities to pose questions and engage in the discussion.
