Dr. Marcia McNutt, president of the National Academy of Sciences, delivered the Boston University’s 146thCommencement Address during the All-University Exercises on Nickerson Field. Dr. John P. Howe, former president and CEO of Project HOPE and BU Trustee, delivered the Baccalaureate Address earlier in the day at Marsh Chapel. Both received honorary degrees.
Others who received honorary degrees are: Lauren Shuler Donner, Hollywood producer and philanthropist; and Karen Holmes Ward, director of Public Affairs and Community Services at WCVB.
