First Claflin Hall, now Sleeper. The West Campus dorms are being made more comfortable and inviting. Sleeper’s 316 rooms (housing 613 student beds) and two faculty suites have received new wardrobe units, lighting, and floor and wall finishes. All elevators and fire alarms have been replaced. Additional enhancements include adding new doors throughout the facility, new tile finishes in the restrooms, and upgrading study rooms on the 2nd floor.

Sustainability

Construction projects involving demolition include recycling woods and metals from the materials that are removed. Low Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) paints are standard, as is carpet manufactured from recycled materials and energy efficient lighting.
