Parents Program Radio

Have questions about your student’s time at Boston University? Don’t know who to ask?

That is what Parents Program Radio is for!

Parents Program radio is a monthly show hosted by Dean Elmore and Dean DeLuca. They touch upon relevant topics for your students. Is it summer? Let’s chat move-in! Midterms approaching? We’ll talk stress relief resources. Student coming home for a holiday? We’ll talk strategy for having your student back under your roof.

Dean Elmore and Dean DeLuca will have guests stop by from around the University and will take your questions as well. Maybe we’ll even put you on the air!

You can listen to each show live here on this page, stream it later or download it for easier listening.

  1. The Student Activities Office will begin Weeks of Welcome programming on Thursday, August 28th. If have a need to move in early and you’re on your own, check out our website http://www.bu.edu/sao for info on Weeks of Welcome programming. We’d love to see you and hope you can join us.

  2. what arrangements are made for parents moving students in for FYSOP? Registration is at 12 but the students cannot move in until 4. Is there a parent’s event on August 25th?

  3. I have a concern regarding the food/entrees not being marked with a list at each station listing the 8 common food allergies. For example: if the food contains tree nuts, gluten, milk or if the food is vegan. My son, an incoming freshman, has a severe tree nut allergy for which he carries epi pens. I, myself can not eat foods containing gluten. We found it very difficult to navigate the dining hall at Warren Towers during our visit for accepted students. Having three other children attend 3 different schools, I have always observed a sign at each food station where students could read if the food being served was safe for their particular allergies. Could you please address this issue.

  4. My daughter starts in January. Is there an address where we can mail packages before she moves in?

  5. Hi! If you’ve left your questions as comments here, I’ll be touching base with you via email to answer them. Thanks!
