Stephen Martin, MD, has been appointed to the position of hospitalist in the Department of Family Medicine at Boston Medical Center (BMC) and will be recommended for clinical instructor of family medicine at Boston University School of Medicine (BUSM).
Martin received his medical degree from Harvard Medical School and completed his family medicine residency at Boston Medical Center.
Martin’s clinical expertise is in improving the quality of life for those with illness as well as caring for the underserved in both urban and rural communities. His research interests include the interface between primary and hospital care, the development and use of the preventive exam and assessing the quality of evidence relevant to the risks and benefits of tests and treatments.
Martin is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice, the Massachusetts Medical Society and the American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology.
