Our Team

Laura Pfeifer, MS

Laura Pfeifer is a Ph.D student in the College of Computer and Information Science at Northeastern University. She received her BA from Augustana College in Sioux Falls, SD in Computer Science, and a MS from Northeastern University in Computer Science. She is a research assistant in the Relational Agents Lab, under the advisement of Dr. Timothy Bickmore. Her interests lie within the field of Human-Computer Interaction. Specifically, she is interested in health systems and how they can positively impact patient care.

Her primary roles in this project are developing the Virtual Patient Advocate and conducting a usability study on how patients react to the use of these VPAs throughout their care.
