Triveni Dance presents: “Navarasa – The Nine Moods” at 8 pm on Friday, April 10 and 4 pm on Saturday, April 11.
This year, Neena Gulati and the Triveni Ensemble present “Navarasa: The Nine Emotions” where all attributes of Shiva, from the resonating to the subtle, are explored.
When Shiva’s name is spoken, it conjures images of a tiger skin clad, masculine God with wild locks that flow like the Ganges, with the power to destroy his enemies with one glance from the fires of his third eye, and with the ability to leave the world in ashes. But there is so much more to the Lord of Dance. He has all those attributes that we expect– valor and anger. But he also amazes, loves passionately and deeply, feels compassion, disgust and even fear. In meditation he is liberated and at peace.
