Using poetry by Eve Ensler, text by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and iconic images from magazines and , Blue Girl Gold features fierce, athletic dancing by KAIROS’ four professional dancers in couture costumes by fashion designer Carlos Villamil.

Marin Orlosky-Randow will perform Phantom Limb, a solo she choreographed for aerial sling. Phantom Limb explores distortions of memory, form, and gravity.

Liz Roncka and Paul Laurey have co-created “Body Talk”, a humorous and heartfelt structured improvisation of dance and language.

Lynn Modell takes a humorous look at women of a certain age getting nostalgic for her piece Hot Flashback. Her cast includes dance faculty and colleagues.

BU alumni Colleen Roddy and Stefanie Gordon have been working together for years developing intricate partnering and an athletic movement vocabulary. Roddy will premiere a duet for this concert that focuses on reliance and dependence.

The concert will also include a Hip Hop quartet that enthralled audiences as part of BU’s Summer Outreach Teen Apprenticeship Program, Reach. Choreographed by teen apprentice, Mary Craig and mentored by Reach staff, this piece is performed by young and ardent dancers.
