扬名天下的国宝级画作《奔马图》在抗日战争时期被日本人掠夺，几经周折最后回到中国。在2018年北京的画展上，主管陈瑾帆为了最大化的盈利，在还没有出鉴定结果的情况下，提前公开了《奔马图》，展出中途却惊觉这幅画是赝品。陈主管为了一己私利，隐瞒了真相。同一时间，陈主管的姥姥芳萱去世，姥姥的遗物中，竟出现了疑似真迹的《奔马图》。姥姥和画之间千丝万缕的联系，渐渐浮出水面……

The painting Galloping Horse, Chinese national treasure, was looted by Japan during the World War II. After many twists and turns, the picture finally returned to China. During an exhibition in Beijing in 2018, supervisor Jinfan Chen exhibits Galloping Horse without the appraisal result, in the hope of maximizing profitability. However, the painting turns out to be fake. Chen conceals the truth for her interest. Meanwhile, Fangxuan, Chen’s grandmother, has passed away. In her belongings, there is a likely-authentic version of Galloping Horse. The inextricable connection between the grandmother and the painting gradually comes to the surface.
