Tatiana Momoldaeva

TatianaTatiana Momoldaeva is Assistant Lecturer of English at the Department of Humanities at Kalmyk State University. She is also a manager and curriculum development specialist for the English Access Microscholarship Program, a two-year educational program for children of underprivileged families supported by the United States Department of State. Since 2010, she is also Vice President of the Republic of Kalmykia’s English Language Instructor’s Society. She has initiated several professional development workshops and seminars for English as a foreign language specialists, as well as study camps for secondary school students. Tatiana holds a specialist (master’s) degree in linguistics from Kalmyk State University. Through enrollment in online courses offered by Western institutions, such as the University of Maryland and the University of Oregon, Tatiana has developed a cross-cultural understanding of her field. As a Humphrey Fellow, she intends to enhance her knowledge in the TESOL field. Her interests include applied linguistics, sociolinguistics, intercultural communication, and computerassisted language learning, as well as the structure and operation of teacher associations in the US.
