Wendy Miranda Lopez

Wendy Miranda Lopez is currently a Professor of Telecommunications and Electrical Engineering at the University of San Carlos of Guatemala, where she teaches Analog and Digital Electronics, Physics, Algebra, and Calculus. She works diligently to advise students on research proposals and to help them implement research projects typically involving Wireless and Telecommunications networks. With over 15 years of experience in the Telecommunications Industry, she is considered an expert in her field. Wendy worked for AT&T as an Operations Manager before becoming a professor as to pass down her knowledge to others.

Wendy received her MBA from the University of Valparaiso Chile, after receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from The University of San Carlos of Guatemala.

During her time in the fellowship program, Wendy seeks to learn different, effective ways to improve education in Guatemala through the effective use of technology. She hopes to research aerospace communication technology that she can bring to Guatemala to improve the quality of life, all while expanding her professional network.
