Brendan McConville’s research focuses on the intersection of politics and social developments in Early America. He is the author of These Daring Disturbers of the Public Peace (Cornell, 1999, paperback University of Pennsylvania, 2003), The King’s Three Faces: The Rise and Fall of Royal America, 1688-1776 (OIEAHC-UNC Press, 2006), and The American Revolution (forthcoming).
Professor McConville taught at SUNY-Binghamton from 1992 to 2004 and was chair of the department there in 2003-04.
