Nanoscale Energy-Fluids Transport Laboratory

The Nanoscale Energy-Fluids Transport (NEFT) laboratory experimentally studies energy and fluids transport at the nanoscale. We are part of the Mechanical Engineering Department & Materials Science and Engineering Department of Boston University. Prof. Chuanhua Duan is the Principal Investigator of the NEFT lab. Our current focuses include:

  • Exploring anomalous transport phenomenon in 1-D or 2-D confined nanochannels;
  • Improving phase-change heat transfer based on patterned micro/nanostructures;
  • Developing new nanofluidic devices for biomolecule sensing and separation.

We are actively looking for new students. If you are interested in joining our group, please contact Prof. Duan (duan@bu.edu) for details.
