Greek Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs Visits Pardee School
Terens Quick, Greece’s Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs, visited the Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies at Boston University on October 17, 2017 to meet with Erik Goldstein, Professor of International Relations and History at the Pardee School, and Boston University students.
Quick, one of the leaders of the Independent Greeks political party which is a coalition partners in the Greek government, was hosted by Kelly Polychroniou, Senior Lecturer in Modern Greek and Head of the Modern Greek Language Program at Boston University. Following his meeting with Polychroniou, Quick met with Goldstein at 152 Bay State Road.
Quick, who visited with Consul General of Greece in Boston Stratos Efthymiou, took a walking tour of Marsh Chapel, the College of Arts and Sciences, the Classics House, Questrom School of Business and the Pardee School of Global Studies where he met with Boston University Philhellenes Students.
Quick also visited with faculty from the Boston University Department of Classical Studies including Chairman Steve Scully, Director of Undergraduate Admissions James Uden and Director of Undergraduate Studies Jay Samons.
Goldstein’s research interests include diplomacy, formulation of national diplomatic strategies, the origins and resolution of armed conflict, and negotiation. He has published in numerous journals, including Middle Eastern Studies, Review of International Relations, East European Quarterly, Historical Research, Historical Journal, Byzantine & Modern Greek Studies, and the Hague Journal of Diplomacy.
