2014 Occupational Therapy Alumni Award
The Boston University Occupational Therapy faculty has selected Ashley Deaton, OTD, OTR/L (post-professional MS class of 2008 and OTD class of 2011) as the recipient for Boston University Sargent College’s 2014 OT Alumni Award. The faculty wants to recognize her founding of the non-profit charity organization Footprints in the Community. Footprints in the Community ensures that children with special needs are afforded opportunities to participate in the typical offerings of the community in which their peers participate. We are excited that this organization was launched from the project she completed for her OTD degree here at Boston University. We also want to recognize the outstanding services that she provides to children with various orthopedic, neurological, and/or developmental conditions at her private practice, One Step At A Time Therapy Services, Inc. The award will be presented at the Boston University OT Alumni & Clinical Associates Reception at AOTA Conference on April 4 in Baltimore.
