Behavioral Medicine

I was born and raised in Jamaica until I was 15 my family and I migrated to Springfield, MA. Working with college aged population provides me with the opportunity to be apart growth and change as individual move on into adulthood. Taking part of this journey with young adults I tend to utilize solution focus techniques, motivational interviewing, some DBT and CBT skills. I have had over 7 year of working with adolescent, adult and young adult populations addressing concerns such as anxiety, bipolar, depression, relationship concerns, life changes, identity development and formation. I welcome the occasion to work with persons who identify as ethnic, racial, religious, or sexual minorities. I also welcome the opportunity to work student- athletes at different stages of their careers , on dealing with injuries, the demand of sports participation and the intersection of mental health. I was an avid athlete throughout high school and college, and completed professionally for a short time. I currently enjoy spending time with my family, being outdoors, and being at the beach.
