Bio

Nina Aronoff is a Clinical Associate Professor and Coordinator of the dual degree program with education (MSW/EdM). She teaches courses in racial justice; clinical social work practice with individuals, groups, and families; organizational behavior and community-based practice; as well as social work theories. Her work as an advisor and instructor are student-centered and based on finding creative solutions for diverse learners

Previously, Aronoff helped develop and taught in the MSW program at Wheelock College, serving as program director for several years. She has also taught at Case Western Reserve University and Salem State University.

Aronoff has many years of practice, administrative, and consultation experience working with diverse groups of children and families and the organizations that serve their needs. She bases her work in the context of the communities in which people live through applying collaborative practice models that promote resilience. These approaches are informed and driven by issues of justice, diversity, and inclusion. She consults in the areas of justice-based social work practice, leadership, organizational change, and collaborative practice. She also maintains a private clinical practice

Her publications (authored and co-authored), presentations, and ongoing scholarship are related to her areas of practice, as well as justice-based teaching and curriculum development, intersectional feminist praxis, and female empowerment through sports. She serves on the editorial board of Families in Society and was a long-term member of Affilia.
