Internship Specialist

Kerry Seymour-Smith holds a Diploma of Teaching from Wollongong University and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Western Sydney. She worked in the New South Wales Department of School Education for more than 15 years, holding the positions of Principal  and Deputy Principal. For a number of years she worked with Aboriginal students in western New South Wales.  In 1991, Kerry’s career shifted from education with her appointment to New South Wales government as Chief of Staff to the Minister for Police/Emergency Services/Juvenile Justice. This gave her an overview of state government. She was also a foundation member of the New South Wales Juvenile Justice Advisory Courts Administration Council.

Kerry worked as Internship Advisor and Assistant Director with the Boston University Sydney Program from 1995 until 2001. During that time she was involved with the internship course development.

Late 2001 Kerry worked with Blue Mountains Hotel School in Leura NSW.  She had a range of responsibilities  including compliance, post-graduate accreditation development, lecturing in the Advanced Diploma of Hospitality courses; Workplace Training and Assessment course and her final position was Career Development Manager.  Kerry lives at Wentworth Falls in the Blue Mountains where she enjoys gardening on her property and fitness.
