  1. That’s very impressive! As a custodian of Zulu culture myself I’m eternally grateful for what you are doing, keeping the flames of our culture alive beyond our borders

    1. Thank you Soka Mthembu for your comment. It is our passion and intention to share what we know about our languages and the culture: traditional and contemporary to as many language learners as possible. So, help us spread the word that Boston University brings Africa to America, not just one country, but several countries of Africa via language and research. We take advantage of the small classes we have by giving our students a lot of individual attention, as much as they need to help their language learning in an environment conducive to that. Tell someone to come join our family. I teach isiZulu and isiXhosa. #Proudly South African

  2. Guaranteed Swahili!

It’s more true here than with the outfit that advertises on the T with that slogan. BU’s African Language Program is among the best in the land.

  3. Thank you so much for your article Zoliswa. I came accross it while I was searching for job apportunities abroad to teach Zulu. This sheds light and gives more hope to continue wanting to share my language, and culture with speakers of other languages.
