  1. Is the performance still on at the Tsai Performance Center of the ICCA Quaterfinals? Those who travel…this is an outrage! The I95 corridor will be in blizzard mode by 1pm! All our children are at risk!! Insanity!!

    1. Hi Paula

I work for Student Activities and we’ve been discussing this particular storm over the past few days. At this time the organizers of the event have not canceled. From what we’ve been informed, the heaviest portion of the storm is expected from midnight until 6pm Sunday.

  2. Hey Paula! I’m Emma, the social media director of In Achord (the group hosting the ICCA Quarterfinal at BU tonight). As Varsity Vocals is the organization in charge of the event, I recommend that you get in touch with Emily Flanders. Her email is emily@varsityvocals.com. We wish you and your children the safest travel and the best of luck tonight!

    1. As of 5pm on 2/15/15, the campus will be open for visitors attending admissions programs at the Leventhal Center, 233 Bay State Rd., as scheduled on Monday, 2/16/15. We will notify those who are registered to visit should we need to alter plans, and any changes will be posted at http://www.bu.edu/admissions/visit-us. Please travel safely!

    1. You should call the Admissions office to check at 617-353-2300. The school doesn’t usually know whether they will close until the evening the day before.

You can also call the BU Emergency Closing line (617-353-SNOW) which will have a prerecorded message letting you know if the university is open or closed due to snow. If the school is officially closed, there won’t be any tours either.

  3. The School of Law is supposed to have makeup Tuesday classes tomorrow and I know some professors from Monday classes have also scheduled makeup sessions (which is a whole other problem with conflicts). Do you know yet whether the school will be open? I’m not currently in Boston, so I’m not sure what the conditions around school are. With most of the school closed otherwise for the holiday, we aren’t sure where to find out whether or not makeup classes will be held.

Sorry for any typos, I’m sending this from my phone.
