Overview
Dr. Carrie O’Connor served as Lecturer of French at Boston University and was loved by her colleagues and students alike. In her memory, the Department of Romance Studies has created a travel fund to honor her lasting legacy and love of language learning and travel so that, like her, students can experience and gain the new perspectives that enriched Carrie’s life and teaching. She always said that “luggage should never be dusty,” and the goal of this fund is to help students in their efforts to see the world and become better global citizens by dusting off their own luggage to embark on travel and study in the Francophone world.
Eligibility
This award is open to BU undergraduate students studying abroad in a Francophone country. Students participating in an external program are eligible.
Award Details
Students can earn up to $1,500 for travel.
