Preliminary Selection of a Program
In order to be eligible for transfer credit, the Program Manager for External Programs must be able to verify that your study abroad program can and will issue a transcript from an accredited, degree granting college or university (foreign or domestic ). Diplomas and certificates from an accredited institution or ones not stating grades or credits earned will not be eligible.
Since that is a lot to figure out on your own, it is strongly recommended that you set up a meeting with the Program Manager for External Programs before applying to a program. The Program Manager can also suggest eligible programs and help you narrow down your options.
Search engines like IIE Passport, StudyAbroad.com, DiversityAbroad.com, and GoAbroad.com are available to help you quickly find study abroad programs. Keep in mind that just because a program is listed there does not guarantee that it will be eligible for transfer credit.
