Applied Business Analytics Programs

BU MET’s Applied Business Analytics graduate programs are designed for business analysts, data scientists, or graduates looking to transition into data-driven roles. BU MET offers a graduate certificate and a master’s degree in Applied Business Analytics, available online and on campus.

Successful ABA candidates have a strong mathematical, statistical, and/or computer science background, as well as a bachelor’s degree (or the equivalent) and an upper-division GPA of 3.0 or higher. Candidates without the aforementioned academic background should be prepared for intense coursework in these fields. We welcome early- or mid-career professionals who want to advance in their careers, mid-career leaders who need better analytical skills to improve their decision-making, as well as applicants with no work experience.

Preparatory Labs

As a student in BU MET’s Applied Business Analytics programs, you have free access to hands-on analytics preparatory laboratories offered through the Department of Administrative Sciences. In these specially designed Preparatory Labs you will be exposed to cloud-based educational tools, software applications, and databases, along with pre-recorded internal and/or external tutorials, lectures, and video conferencing. You will have the flexibility to build your own path through the learning units and to proceed by completing assignments in a “learn and test yourself” mode—at your own pace. Upon successful completion of a Self-Paced Lab (SPL), you earn a standardized, digitally verifiable badge in recognition of your performance with visibility to current and future employers. To earn a second-level badge, students must successfully complete all units of a first-level Preparatory Lab. To enter the third level, a student has to pass all tests in the second-level lab.
