Spring 2025 Semester – Boston

Boston University bills you for direct costs such as tuition, fees, housing and food. There are also certain indirect expenses, such as transportation, books, supplies and personal expenses that you pay out of pocket.

All students studying on the BU campus enrolled in at least 75 percent of the full-time curriculum are required by Massachusetts law to have medical insurance. If you are not already covered under a qualifying medical insurance plan, you are required to purchase insurance through the University. *Housing and food rates vary depending upon type of residence assigned and meal plan you select. Rates are for the residence and meal plan on a license agreement. Participation in the meal plan is optional for students who are assigned to apartment-style residences. Variances in residence and meal plan may also occur if students claim commuter status as a special circumstance.

Projected Costs for the Summer 2025 Term – London

Boston University bills you for direct costs such as the tuition and the housing/student services fee. Tuition covers a full-time credit load which during the summer semester is typically 14 academic credits. The combination of spring and summer enrollment equates to the first year of study. There are also certain indirect expenses, such as food expenses while in London, books, supplies and personal expenses that you pay out of pocket. Projected costs are listed below and will be updated when actual charges and expense allowances are approved by the Board of Trustees.
