“I grew up in the mountains of Costa Rica, but I was drawn to BU because of its incredible international reputation. I had never been to Boston before, but I fell in love with BU after watching YouTube tours of the University. It’s the perfect combination of city and campus. I was anxious leading up to move-in day, but I knew I was going to be living in Warren Towers surrounded by freshmen going through the same experience. And right off the bat, I made friends with the people on my floor.”
In every single class I’ve taken, there are international students.
I’ve met students from all over the world. There are lots of Latin Americans that I can speak Spanish with, and I even know three students who are also from Costa Rica! And as part of the BU International Student Ambassadors, I’ve been able to welcome new international students to campus. It feels like I’ve come full circle, and I now have a global network of mentors and friends who I can really count on.”
