Dedicated Help and Support for Transfers
Please note: All incoming transfer students starting in Fall 2025 will work with Debra Marcus.
For students who started at BU in Fall 2024 or Spring 2025: Assistant Director of Transfer Student Success, Debra Marcus (they/them) works with incoming transfer students at BU with last names A-P to help them make a smooth transition. For students who started at BU in Fall 2024 or Spring 2025: Christa Panciocco (she/her), Associate Director of the Educational Resource Center (ERC), works with incoming transfer students at BU with last names Q-Z.
It is quite common for Debra and Christa to help transfer students with things like:
- Transferring credit from other institutions
- Understanding the BU Hub transfer curriculum
- Finding community and getting involved
- Adjusting to the rigor of BU academics
Debra and Christa understand that when you’re new, you may feel confused about how things work and uncertain about who to contact with your questions. Consider them your first point of contact. It’s also okay if you don’t know exactly what questions to ask. Debra and Christa will help get you oriented and connected.
