First-Year Student & Faculty Luncheons

Throughout 2023-2024, the First-Year Success office will host a series of First-Year Student & Faculty Luncheons. These lunches will be held on various dates over the course of the fall and spring semester. Our goal is to encourage first-year students to begin building relationships with professors and to showcase the breadth of BU’s academic offerings. Each lunch is designed to facilitate connections around broad academic disciplines. Students may attend any lunch that is of interest!

Spring 2024 Dates 

Tuesday, April 16 from 12:30-2pm in the Terrace Lounge, George Sherman Union (GSU), 775 Commonwealth Ave

This event will feature staff and faculty from all schools and colleges across Boston University. If a student chooses to invite a faculty member, feel free to use this sample invitation and template to get you started. If you would like support, please reach out to your First-Year Success AD. Featuring professors in the College of Engineering (ENG), College of General Studies (CGS), the Faculty of Computing & Data Sciences (CDS), the College of Health & Rehabilitation Sciences: Sargent College, and STEM-related fields in the College of Arts & Sciences (CAS).
