UROP Humanities, Arts, and Preprofessional (HAP) Scholars Award
UROP has recently modified the former Humanities Scholars Award. Beginning in summer 2023, The Humanities, Arts, and Preprofessional (HAP) Scholars Award will provide stipend funding for students conducting research in the humanities, arts, and certain preprofessional fields including SHA, Questrom, and COM. The HAP Scholars Award has an extended application deadline of May 1, 2023. Students interested in applying will be conducting research under the mentorship of a BU faculty mentor and can apply for funding for 20, 30, or 40 hours of research per week during the UROP summer program that runs June 5 – August 11.
A virtual information session with helpful tips on applying for a HAP Scholars Award will be held on Wednesday, April 5 at 5pm. Former UROP awardee, and current UROP Ambassador Leela Munsiff will discuss her experience conducting research in Linguistics with Professor Kate Lindsey.
