Maj Jonathan Williams

Major Jonathan Williams is the Recruiting Officer at Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps Detachment 355 at Boston University, Boston MA. He is directly responsible for recruiting, training, and leading 53 highly qualified men and women from Boston University and eight cross-town college and universities as prospective Air Force Officers. Maj Williams also promotes Air Force career and scholarship opportunities to university staff, college, as well as high school students, faculty, and parents.

Maj Williams graduated from the University of Florida with a Major in Chemical Engineering. He earned his commission in the Air Force in 2012 through Officer Training School. Maj Williams completed Undergraduate Remotely Piloted Aircraft Training and served as an MQ-1 Pilot until he cross trained into Air Force Acquisitions. He has served various positions such as project manager, squadron executive officer, and materiels flight commander. Prior to his current position, Maj Williams served as the Mission Manager for the Long Duration Propulsive ESPA (LDPE) satellite systems for the Advanced Systems and Development Directorate. He was responsible for the procurement of an $80M experimental satellite program with 10 innovative experimental space payloads. Maj Williams was also the Military Satellite Communications Mission Control Segment Lead, for the Advanced Extremely High Frequency System. Maj Williams leads the AEHF Satellite Mission Control Segment technology refresh effort worth $32M. He cross-trained from the Remotely Piloted Aircraft pilot career field into Acquisitions in 2015. While previously stationed at Cannon AFB, Maj Williams spent time in the Logistics Readiness Squadron as the Officer In Charge of Asset Management responsible for over $368M in materials and 3.5K small arms weapons
