BU Scholarship Story – Rachel Petherbridge (ENG’19)

For some students, the BU experience starts before they even graduate from high school. That’s true for Rachel Petherbridge (ENG’19). “I got interested in genetics broadly as a whole when I was in high school, when I did RISE at BU,” Rachel says. “RISE is the Research Internship in Science and Engineering program at BU. It’s a six-week summer program and you’re assigned to a lab. You do actual research, start to finish.”
