Lucia Rodriguez (COM’97)

Lucia Rodriguez is a multi-faceted leader with over 15 years of experience in Marketing and Communications. She has a successful track record with industry leaders such as JPMorgan Chase, Comcast NBC Universal, and Starz.
As the managing director and Senior Consultant at her boutique consultancy, 7Circles – Strategic Marketing Solutions, Lucia customizes marketing and communications strategies to drive business growth and enhance brand visibility. In addition to her consulting work, she is deeply involved in her professional community, mentoring and leading organizations such as The Venture Mentoring Team (VMT) and the National Association for Multi-Ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC). At Hispanic Unity of Florida (HUF), one of South Florida’s largest non-profits serving the needs of new immigrants, she has served as Chair of the Marketing Committee and Chair of the Board of Directors.
Her educational background includes a Master’s degree in Broadcast Administration from Boston University and a BS in Mass Communication from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello. She has further enhanced her knowledge through executive leadership programs at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business, as well as certifications in Digital Marketing from the American Marketing Association and Diversity & Inclusion from Cornell University. Lucia is also pursuing a certificate in AI and Analytics for Strategic Marketing from the University of Miami.
Recognized as an expert in multicultural and inclusive marketing, Lucia has led successful campaigns and garnered prestigious awards, including the EMMA, Effie, and ANA Excellence in Multicultural Marketing. Throughout her career, she has championed Diversity and Inclusion initiatives, leading Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) and supporting programs across various sectors.
Fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish, Lucia brings a broad-based, global perspective to her work, driven by her commitment to continuous learning and community engagement. She is an active member of the Boston University Alumni Council (BUAC) and the BU College of Communication DEI Advisory Committee. Lucia lives in South Florida with her husband, Angel, and daughter, Ana Lucia.
