Associate Vice President – Special Initiatives

A distinguished leader and respected trailblazer in the realm of Development, Ron’s extensive professional background spans major and principal gifts, foundation relations, and corporate philanthropy, both domestically and on the global stage. Ron joined Boston University in April 2017 as the Associate Vice President of School Development. In this role, he guided the development teams for the Questrom School of Business, the School of Law, the Pardee School of Global Studies, and the College of Arts & Sciences. In July 2020, with Dr. Ibram X. Kendi’s arrival and introduction of the Boston University Center for Antiracist Research, Ron expanded his focus to encompass Special Initiatives and was appointed as the Associate Vice President for Special Initiatives, his current role.

Prior to his time at BU, Ron served as the Director of Global Initiatives at MIT, where he held responsibility for principal giving initiatives in Europe. Ron also spent over a decade in the United Kingdom where he assumed the role of Chief Development Officer for the University of Warwick, followed by Loughborough University. His career in development also includes positions at Washington University in St. Louis and the University of Chicago.

As a student, Ron obtained a B.A. in both English and Business Administration from Principia College. Additionally, he obtained an MBA in Management from the Olin School of Business at Washington University in St. Louis.
