Professor Moore to Speak at New Hampshire’s Currier Museum
On the afternoon of November 23rd, Professor William Moore will be speaking at the Currier Museum of Art in Manchester, New Hampshire as part of a special “Shaker Day” which accompanies the museum’s ongoing exhibition entitled The Shakers and the Modern World. In presenting this exhibition the museum has collaborated with New Hampshire’s Canterbury Shaker Village. Professor Moore will be presenting research drawn from his book Shaker Fever: America’s Twentieth-Century Fascination with a Communitarian Sect which will be released by the University of Massachusetts Press in August of 2020.
