Lawreen was a cornerstone of the Amyloidosis Center for many years, renowned not only for her groundbreaking research but also for her generosity, mentorship, and collaborative spirit. She devoted her career to advancing our understanding of amyloid diseases, leaving an indelible mark on the field and the lives of countless patients and colleagues. Lawreen’s contributions to research were matched by her commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for all who had the privilege to work with her. She guided many through their own scientific journeys, always ready to lend her expertise, wisdom, and encouragement. Her passion for science was only rivaled by her compassion for people.
