Congratulations to PhD student, Melissa Zarate

PhD student Melissa Zarate has been awarded $5,000 from the Primate Action Fund towards her dissertation project, “Landscape Mitogenomics and High-Altitude Adaptation in the Peruvian Yellow-Tailed Woolly Monkey (Lagothrix flavicauda)”. These funds will help Mel in conducting field surveys searing for new populations of Critically Endangered yellow-tailed woolly monkeys in Parque Nacional Alto Mayo and in southern Peru, as well as support a Peruvian field assistant during her dissertation work.
