About

Warrenkevin Henderson is a paleoanthropologist and genomicist working in the Sensory Morphology and Anthropological Genomics Lab (SMAGL) under the advisement of Dr. Eva Garrett and Dr. Christopher Schmitt. He is currently investigating morphological convergence in respect to cold adaptation and the possible genetic underpinnings of various morphological traits. His current project investigates if convergence is acting on nasal and rib form in archaic hominins such as Neanderthals and Homo sapiens, to include contemporary populations of H. sapiens, in the context of those same differences in Ursid, Phocid, and Equid models.

Prior to starting his Ph.D. at Boston University, Warrenkevin attended the University of Massachusetts Boston where he obtained a B.S. in Biology and Anthropology, moving on to The George Washington University where he obtained his M.S. in Human Paleobiology.
