Dr. Anuli Njoku is an Associate Professor in the Department of Public Health at Southern Connecticut State University, where she currently serves as serves as Chair of the Health Equity and Anti-Racism (HEAR) Committee. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Rutgers University, Master of Public Health from Boston University, and Doctor of Public Health from Drexel University. She also has postdoctoral training from Fox Chase Cancer Center. Her research interests include social determinants of health, health disparities, cultural competency in higher education, environmental health equity, rural health, and teaching and learning. She has procured external funding from such agencies as the National Institutes of Health, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, and the United States Agency for International Development. She has also published on teaching students about health disparities, police brutality against Blacks in the USA, racial and ethnic disparities in COVID-19, environmental racism, and rural health disparities.
