Greer A. Hamilton (she/her/hers) is a doctoral student at Boston University School of Social Work. Her work contributes to social work research on racial equity, community development, and community engagement. Current projects include studying environmental gentrification in Buffalo, New York, near highway exposure to ultrafine particles in environmental justice communities in Somerville, Massachusetts, and how a community-engaged process can support the uptake of evidence-based practices related to opioid use disorder. In addition to her research, Greer serves as an adjunct instructor for the University at Buffalo, State University of New York (SUNY) School of Social Work.

Greer graduated from the University at Buffalo, SUNY with a dual degree Bachelor of Arts and Master of Social Work in 2016. She has worked on research projects supported by the National Science Foundation, National Institutes of Health, the Department of Housing and Urban Development, the Black Economic Council of Massachusetts, and America’s Promise Alliance.
