Jourdyn is a social epidemiologist whose research focuses on addressing racism as a cause of racial health inequities. Her current work examines how reparations could contribute to improving Black/white health inequities and how racism impacts healthy aging for Black adults in the United States. Her research interests also include quantitative methods in social epidemiology, measurement of race and racism, and social policy. Currently, she is a postdoctoral fellow at the François-Xavier Bagnoud Center for Health and Human Rights at Harvard University.
