Sarah Betancourt is a reporter covering politics and the intersection of immigration and healthcare for GBH News Center for Investigative Reporting. Betancourt broke the story about how Trump’s USCIS was doing away with the medical parole process for immigrants with serious illnesses. The reporting was featured on MSNBC and the administration later reversed its decision. Betancourt is a graduate of Emerson College and Columbia University, and a member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists.
