Stephanie Roberts Hartung is a teaching professor at Northeastern University School of Law. Her research focuses on social justice lawyering, wrongful convictions, and the cradle to prison pipeline. She is the Principal Investigator of a Tier 1 interdisciplinary, grant-funded research project involving data collection and mapping of the web of social and legal systems that make up the pipeline. She is currently overseeing an extensive jail and prison survey in Massachusetts to better understand childhood experiences leading to the disproportionate incarceration of Black and Brown youth. She serves on the board of the New England Innocence Project.
