Jacobs is Research Scholar at Princeton’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs. She is author of Pocketbook Politics: Economic Citizenship in Twentieth-Century America (Princeton University Press), which won the Organization of American History’s 2006 prize for best book on modern politics. She also co-authored Conservatives in Power: The Reagan Years: 1981-1989 (Bedford: 2010).
