Archaeology Research at BU
Faculty and students of BU Archaeology are deeply engaged in research, both in the field and on campus. Our faculty train students in a variety of technical fields, including paleoethnobotany, zooarchaeology, ceramic analysis, and digital methods, and offer field opportunities in many countries, including Mexico, Guatemala, Greece, Israel, Spain, and the US, among others.
The Archaeology Program and Boston University are committed to ensuring that human remains, funerary objects, sacred objects, and objects of cultural patrimony in our custody are appropriately identified and treated with respect during the research process, according to the Boston University Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA) Policy.
