Congratulations Dr. Catherine Espaillat

We would like to congratulate Dr. Catherine Espaillat on receiving a NSF Career Grant!

Dr. Catherine Espaillat is currently an Assistant Professor at Boston University. Her research focuses on understanding how planets form around young stars, particularly by characterizing the “footprints” that baby planets leave behind as they form. Dr. Espaillat previously served as a National Science Foundation Astronomy and Astrophysics postdoctoral fellow and a NASA Carl Sagan fellow at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics. She earned her PhD in Astronomy & Astrophysics from the University of Michigan (2009) and a BA in Astronomy from Columbia University (2003).
