BU’s Solomon Carter Fuller studied the pathology of the brain under Professor Alois Alzheimer.

Solomon Carter Fuller (MED 1897), the first black psychiatrist in the United States, studied the pathology of the brain under Professor Alois Alzheimer, identifier of Alzheimer’s disease. BU Medical Center will host an overview of symptoms, risk factors, and current treatments of Alzheimer’s disease on Wednesday, December 7 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. For information, email hubbarde@bu.edu.
