Michael Ciarlante named director of the Office of All-University Functions
Michael Ciarlante joins DAR full-time as director of the Office of All-University Functions
BU recently named Michael Ciarlante director of the Office of All-University Functions in the Development and Alumni Relations department.
For the past 26 years, Ciarlante has worked in the Office of Marketing and Communications, most recently as the director of the Office of Public Information. In that role, he worked closely with the staff of All-University Functions, ensuring the smooth execution of many of the University’s highest profile events.
Reporting to Jodi Anderson, executive director of All-University Functions, Ciarlante will continue to work closely with central Development and Alumni Relations staff, and many other University administrators.
Ciarlante joined Boston University in 1979 after earning a Bachelor’s degree from the College of Communication. He then went on to earn a Master’s in Urban Affairs from Metropolitan College in 1983.
Upon Ciarlante’s appointment, Amy Hook has been named acting director of the Office of Campus Information and Vistor Services, formerly Public Information.
